Quick Answer

A lifting tarp is a heavy PVC-coated sheet with criss-cross lifting webbing that lets a crane or telehandler move a full load in a single pick — snow in winter, and demolition debris, construction waste, sand, gravel or bagged goods the rest of the year. Ours are 18-22 oz PVC-coated polyester rated for 5,000-10,000 lbs, sewn with 4-point or 8-point lifting webs to a 5:1 safety factor, and stay flexible down to -40 degrees Celsius.

Questions Buyers Ask

What can a lifting tarp carry?

Any loose or bundled material: fresh or packed snow, demolition and renovation debris, sand, gravel, soil, bagged cement, feed or fertiliser, and palletised goods. Our standard 8-point tarps carry 5,000 to 10,000 lbs per pick.

What is the difference between a snow tarp and a demolition tarp?

They are the same product sold for different jobs. In winter crews lift snow off sites and roofs; the rest of the year the identical tarp lifts demolition debris and construction waste. Our 18-22 oz PVC fabric with 4/8-point webbing covers both.

What is the difference between 4-point and 8-point lifting tarps?

A 4-point tarp gathers the webbing into a single lifting ring and suits smaller loads. An 8-point tarp spreads the load across more lifting points and is the usual choice for crane work and large roof areas.

Will PVC crack in deep freeze?

No. We use cold-crack resistant PVC-coated fabric rated -40 to +70 degrees Celsius, so the sheet stays flexible and the stitching does not become brittle in winter use.
